Lighting Energy Efficiency Treatment
State-of-the-art lighting retrofits significantly reduced energy consumption and qualified for a substantial utility incentive.
OpTerra identified and installed efficiency upgrades at Dunkin' Donuts’ Northeast distribution center. A three-part lighting retrofit was implemented at the 260,000 sq. ft. Bellingham, MA facility. In the warehouse area pictured below, OpTerra replaced 400w Metal Halide technology with 6L HL T8 fixtures with occupancy sensors.
In the cooler/freezer area shown below, OpTerra replaced 400w Metal Halide technology with 160w Digital Lumens LED light engines. The project, which significantly reduces the facility’s carbon footprint, received from National Grid an $80,000 incentive that enabled the project to pay for itself in less than one year.
