Lighting Energy Efficiency Treatment
OpTerra has identified and installed efficiency upgrades to lighting in several American Airlines' buildings.
OpTerra completed energy efficiency lighting projects for several of American Airlines’ buildings located at O’Hare International Airport. Over 730 fixtures were retrofitted in American Airlines’ Cargo and Ground Equipment Maintenance (GEM) buildings, reducing energy use by 925,830 kWh annually, while increasing light levels and quality throughout. The energy efficient technologies implemented during these projects included T5, T8 fluorescent and LED. OpTerra also implemented occupancy sensors where appropriate, further increasing the energy savings.
The energy efficiency measures implemented at these American Airlines’ facilities provided over $50,000 in annual energy savings and qualified for approximately $35,000 in utility incentives.
